Vision 5 readme & faq
Q - How do I exit a game?
A - Press START+BACK while playing a game this will take you back to the games selection page

Q - How do I access Settings?
A - Press the RIGHT THUMBSTICK in

Q - How do I access the FTP?
A - Standard F Drive FTP access is
User = XBOX
Pass = XBOX
port = 21

Other Drives are
User = MASTER
Pass = USER
port = 21

Q - On Default and Default Instant Skin my FolderArt doesnt show up?
A - These are locked to speed so the folder must be called
CoinOPS 6
CoinOPS 6 Gold
CoinOPS 6 Lite
CoinOPS 6 Standalone

These match the CoinOPS 6 Artwork and also the Console Art work in the Vision 5 Help Folder

Q - How do I change the theme?
A - Press the RIGHT THUMBSTICK to change the theme

Q - How do I access all animation?
A - Press the RIGHT THUMBSTICK in and change the default theme to Default Full

Q - Can I change the look and animation of the interface?
A - YES Press the RIGHT THUMBSTICK in

Q - Can I refresh a Thumbnail that has changed or is broken?
A - Yes Press the LEFT THUMBSTICK in this will remove the old one so a new one can be rebuilt

Q - Can I refresh the settings and thumbnails to defaults
A - YES While booting hold down both thumb sticks

Q - Can I show the Memory Remaining and other debug information
A - YES While booting hold down X and Y buttons

Q - Can I change the aspect ratio and sharpness of the games?
A - YES Press the RIGHT THUMBSTICK in

Q - Can I change from NTSC or PAL? (NTSC recommended as games run better and HD is supported)
A - YES Press the RIGHT THUMBSTICK in and select the changer

Q - Is Hi Def supported
A - YES 720P is supported. You must be NTSC and the MS dash must be setup to support it

Q - Why is there SNES2 Core?
A - This is a way faster Core that plays more games but lacks some features

Q - Why is there NES2 Core?
A - This is a way faster Core that plays more games but lacks some features

Q - Some me games dont return to the game list when I press Start + Back?
A - Yes XBOX games or anything run from a default.xbe has not been coded to do so

Q - Why doesnt the Dooms run?
A - You require being in NTSC or Pal 60 for this to work

Q - Why doesnt SNES sound so bad?
A - You require being in NTSC for the sound to work fully
You can also use the SNES2 core

Q - How do I swap to Disc 2 on the Amiga?
A - Press Start to swap to Disc 2

Q - Why cant I use the joystick in Commodore 64 games?
A - You need to swap to the joystick mode using X button

Q - Why cant I start or select alot of options with the gamepad?
A - Some games use the virtual keyboard and the controller cant be used
Press White to bring up the virtual keyboard

Q - Does this support CPS2 (later Capcom stuff) at full speed?
A - YES FBA core

Q - Does this support Killer Instincts?
A - YES setup required

Q - Does Tekken 3 work?
A - Yes just keep pressing Start as the game is booting

Q - Why do some games not have highscore saving support?
A - If you play a game that supports highscore saving but do not exit back to coinops game select the game will not save

Q - Why do games only save highscores sometimes?
A - Some PCB's had a battery that kept the score in the arcade, so when the game exits hiscores are lost as there is no battery

Q - Can I backup my highscores?
A - VISION\hiscores\hiscore.dat - This is where hiscores are saved

Q - What are the advantages and disadvantages of the Final Burn Core?
A - This Core is faster, but it loses the CoinOPS features like Pixel Perfect etc

Q - How do I enable Autofire?
A - Left Thumb Button - Enable Semi-Automatic fire
Right Thumb Button - Enable Autofire ( Pressing fire can charge your weapons )
BACK - Quickly Disable Autofire

Q - How do I adjust the screensize? (Consoles)
A - Press Right Thumb Button
NOTE - If Consoles Use Correct Aspect Ratio is enabled this option will be disabled

Q - How do I change my default keymap (Arcades)?
A - ENABLE it in settings
Then when playing a game press BACK + WHITE and select Remap Gamepad

Note - If you have a cusom key map for this arcade game it will override the default keymap. The custom keymaps are located in CoinOPS\cfg\ folder and if you wish to change the keys delete the custom maps ive done

Q - How do I change my default keymap? (Consoles & Final Burn)
A - ENABLE it in settings then press Left Thumb Button

Shutdown.txt - Shutsdown when selected
Reboot.txt - Reboots when selected
Small.txt - Will Display the Video in a smallerbox lower in the screen
VISION/Small.txt (root directory) - Will forever display the Video in a smallerbox lower in the screen
SmallMid.txt - Will Display the Video in a smallerbox in the middle of the screen
VISION/SmallMid.txt (root directory) - Will forever display the Video in a smallerbox in the middle of the screen
VideoNudgeLeft.txt - Will Display the Video over to the left
VideoNudgeRight.txt -Will Display the Video over to the Right
ARCADESD.txt - This will make the Old Arcrade core run in SD for this game
Vert.txt - Make the Video Display Aspect for a Vertical Game
FullScreen.txt - Will Display the Video FullScreen for use when using forced small or smallmid
NoRotate.txt - Will Stop the Rotation of a game when Game Rotation is enabled. You may only want it for shooters

requires the Launcher Short cut file and the rom named as per the folder name....the short cut files can be found in
- Help and ShortCuts\Emulator Launching\

also Final Burn CPS2 NEO GEO and Psykio requires a folder with a file called
FBA.txt with game=sfa3 written in it and then SFA3.zip in VISION/Roms/ folder

Note alot of Arcade games can run in FBA or oldmamecore....also they might want the default keymap changing
